Nurturing voices, nourishing growth
Services
At Nourishing Voices, we believe every child deserves to be heard, understood, and nourished. We provide compassionate, individualized support for speech, language, feeding, oral-motor, and oral myofunctional needs from infancy through adolescence.
We specialize in pediatric feeding therapy, including picky eating, oral-motor delays, chewing and swallowing challenges, sensory sensitivities, ARFID, and complex feeding disorders. We also provide comprehensive speech and language therapy, as well as oral myofunctional therapy and support for Tethered Oral Tissues (TOTs), helping address challenges that may impact feeding, speech, breathing, and oral development.
Our approach is child-centered and family-focused, helping children build stronger communication skills, safer and more comfortable mealtimes, and greater confidence. We also equip families with practical, supportive strategies to carry progress into everyday routines at home.
We proudly serve families throughout Rockland County and Bergen County from our office located in Ramsey, NJ.
-
Helping children overcome feeding challenges, including picky eating, oral-motor delays, swallowing or chewing difficulties, sensory sensitivities, ARFID, and complex feeding disorders. We provide a safe, supportive environment where children can build healthy eating habits and positive mealtime experiences at their own pace.
-
Helping children improve the strength, coordination, and function of the muscles of the mouth, tongue, lips, and face. Oral myofunctional therapy can address challenges such as mouth breathing, tongue thrust, improper oral rest posture, swallowing difficulties, speech sound concerns, and oral habits. We provide individualized treatment to support healthy breathing, chewing, swallowing, speech, and overall oral development.
-
Supporting infants and children with Tethered Oral Tissues (TOTs), including tongue-tie (ankyloglossia) and restrictions of the lip and cheek frena. TOTs occur when tight bands of tissue in the mouth limit movement of the tongue, lips, or cheeks, which can impact feeding, breastfeeding, speech, swallowing, and oral development. We provide a supportive, individualized approach to help improve oral function and address challenges related to eating, speaking, and swallowing.
